Fujinon XF16mm F/1.4
Nostalgia: a bittersweet longing for things, persons, or situations of the past.
If I have the money to travel, Japan usually isn’t on my list of places to visit, simply because I spent 12 years of my life there. Even though I grew up there, I never properly had the chance to play tourist in the big city. Coming back always seems to stir a feeling of inspiration for some street photography. We booked our tickets for late September and traveled to Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. It was a trip that restored my love for the country, the food, and the people. Here are some of my favorites from my new toy, the Fujifilm X-T2 paired with the 16mm f/1.4. Not my typical adventure style but still keepers nonetheless. Enjoy!
The Fujifilm X-T2 handles beautifully. I love the articulating screen and used it a lot more than I ever thought I would. The EVF is big and bright and noticeably more responsive than my older Fuji X-E2. I did notice carrying the extra weight of the camera and the 16mm lens but it beats a DSLR any day. It’s a dream to shoot with and matches my style perfectly. Controls are right at your fingertips and image rendering that in my opinion has no competition. Though its a smaller camera, I trust in it’s ruggedness completely and no longer have to worry about the elements as I shoot. Fujifilm has another winner with this one.
